　　Study the following set of drawings carefully and write an essay entitled in which you should

　　1)describe the set of drawings, interpret its meaning, and

　　2)point out its implications in our life.

　　图片内容：flower; greenhouse; thunderstorm/rainstorm

　　寓意：setback; over-protective

　　通过两幅图的对比可以看出，温室里长大的花朵一旦离开这个环境，受到外部恶劣天气环境的打击就会枯萎凋谢;通过这幅图我们可以联想到现实生活中的一些现象，譬如被家庭保护得太好的小孩在步入社会后可能无法独立处理生活中遇到的打击或困境，从而一蹶不振。

　　对于现象类的题目，在回应题目的要求---描述图片，表明寓意，交代影响后，还可以分析一下现象背后的原因，以及如何避免这种现象的发生，即解决方案。分析后我们来分析一篇范文，主要会从回应题目，文章结构，词汇和语法这四个方面分析。

　　【描述图片】A flower thrives under the protection of the greenhouse, [独立主格结构：n+adj.做状语]its branches tender and petals fresh. However, [once+过去分词做时间状语]once removed from the shelter, it withers in the thunderstorm. 【寓意】The pictures indicate that an over-protected flower can never survive the harsh conditions.

　　【现象-类比-图1】【主题句-家庭教育】Similarly, a child under complete protection of his parents can hardly survive hardship and harshness. 【解释主题句中的词汇-child-what】This is particularly true of the children born in the 1980s, [独立主格结构]majority of them being the only child in their family. As the focus of parents and grandparents, the so-called little emperors or empresses used to be carefully protected. 【影响-类比图2】[时间状语从句]After they grow up and walk out of the protection, they painfully find [宾语从句]they cannot solve daily problems on their own. 　　【现象背后的原因】The tragedy of spoiled children is directly attributed to the failure of family education. 【解释主题句中的词汇-failure-why】The over-protective parents misunderstand the responsibility of parents [宾补]as providing the child with a comfortable life. 【解决方案】 In fact, parents should treat their child as an individual [定语从句，修饰individual，在从句中做主语]who will become independent sooner or later and thus encourage the child [动词不定式做宾补]to think and act independently. [时间状语从句]Until this right concept of parenting is widely accepted, we shall continue to have children [介词结构做后置定语修饰children]like greenhouse flowers, [状语]beautiful but unable to stand up to life’s real challenges.
